I am useing RHEL4. i am trying to connect my outher local pc with
help of vncviewer . my other pc os is redhat9.
I enter $vncviewer, then in the "vnc server" field I enter "localIP:1
.
get a message "[[root@sys2 init.d]# vncviewer 192.168.10.4:1
Error: Can't open display:
[root@sys2 init.d]#
please help.
With regards,

[1] Are you using a terminal emulator (gnome-terminal, kterm, xterm)
within X?
[2] Does 'echo $DISPLAY' return anything?
[3] I'm not sure if the :1 is needed in vncviewer, but I'd have to
fiddle. I've never had to use it.
Good luck. :-)
