Fedora 6 NIC issues

I installed Fedora Core 6 on my PC a few days ago, and it seemed to be
working fine, until today. I booted it up and for some reason my
network card just wasn't working. When I boot to my windows xp
partition, the networking is just fine... could anyone help me with
this?
the card is a Realtek RTL8139 PCI, the pc is a 1.7 gHz P4, w/768 MB of
ram
