powerup. Computer ignores DVD drive (NEC4550) and continues to boot
grub from hard disk (BIOS is setup correctly).
Is there a boot floppy that would make sure Solaris 10 install would
start?
Obviously, your problem is that you are not running Linux, and are not
installing Linux.
(Note the name of the newsgroup: comp.os.LINUX.setup)
Perhaps you burnt the cd incorrectly - for this, you need to ask in a
newsgroup that discusses Microsoft Windows software, not
comp.os.LINUX.setup
OTOH, perhaps Solaris wont work on your computer - you need to ask in
a newsgroup that discusses the Solaris operating system, not
comp.os.LINUX.setup
Sorry
but but.. Solaris is Unix, and Linux is very similar to Unix, latest
Solaris version uses GRUB which is probably the cause of my problem,
and very likely many ppl here are using GRUB, too.
I have burned DVD correctly. its not a windows problem and I got
Debian installed too BTW.
