Hi all,
i'm trying to authenticate linux clients in windows server 2003.
I want clients to use their windows login details on RedHat lnux
logins, without using a common login (e.g "student")
Can any one help me to configure this
Thank you..?
It's very simple to do with SUSE/openSUSE. But not terribly
difficult to do manually. You need to join the boxes
to the W2K3 domain and use winbind. Then you don't even
have to create local accounts on the Linux clients, just
create the users on the AD domain.
Do a google search... I'm sure you can find some good
detailed info. The samba.org site has the info as
well.. but perhaps describes TOO much.
There are actually many ways to do this btw....
