These trivial things do not allow the spread of Linux.
webchat is an application. Inform the developers.
You will always risk having a problem trying to run the latest printer or scanner on linux. Buy an older model that is good enough and save a nice chunk of change also. Developers have to write the drivers as the hardware folks do not release linux drivers. When all else fails tell linux your printer is an older model in the same series. Manufacturers do not reinvent the wheel.
