I am porting boot-up rc scripts from Digital Unix to RHEL 4, and one
prompts the user to enter a character within 10 seconds to enter a
certain application mode (if no character is entered with 10 secs, the
application starts up in a default mode).
I am not seeing any output from my application during bootup, but I
cannot see any redirection of output etc looking at /etc/inittab, /
etc/
rc.d/rc, etc. We are starting up in run-level 5.
Anyone know why I don't see any output?
(NB I think the application may have been succesfully ported to RHEL
2.1, so it may be a difference between RHEL 2.1 and 4)
Did you try all virtual consoles, i.e. CTRL-ALT-F1 to CTRL-ALT-F10?
