I installed Fedora 6...everything went fine until it came to
configuring the ethernet connection.
Came an error message acknowledging a bug.
I sent in a substantiating bug, was told it had been reported, they
knew, and nothing more.
So I skipped back to Fedora 5. No problem with install but I cant get
an internet connection. The configure screen shows eth0 to be
inactive but doesnt respond by changing it. So I humbly go back to XP
which I left on the deck, and send you all this request for
clarification. What gives?
What network card (or motherboard) was it? You could buy a better card
for much less than the price of a copy of XP.
Or use a USB network device until you can update the FC6. Or try FC7.
