Dump the table with mysqldump to a text file, edit it and import it again
using mysqlimport

It's for a client, i cannot give him vi or even a simpler text editor, i'm afraid it will end up in corrupted fields and lot of problems....

Well you have a choice. Write some simple access programs or let him loose with 'mysql' raw..
