Sound Card and Printer on PCI not detected.

Hi all,
I have just bought a new system Intel Core2Duo, nVidia mcp371 mother
board with onboard GeForce 7050 card. Since it did not have a parallel
port, I had a PCI card for it, for my dot matrix printer. Windows
successfully configured the sound and the PCI card, but my linux
distro (Suse 10.0) is not able to configure sound/video nor the
printer. I tried poking around YaST but in vain. I get an error saying
that my sound card is not in the Xgl database and thus can't be
configured. As for the printer, the LPT port is just not being
detected. What can be done?
Thanks.
