Broken MBR: need suggestion to fix/rebuild boot loader

I was plaing around with Paragon's Hard Drive Copy 8 by trying to
image my laptop drive to an extra hard drive. It did not work and now
the original hard drive has boot up issues. Basically I have the
following setup on the drive:
Primary1 - Windows
Primary2 - Linux /boot (OpenSuse 10.3)
Logical1 - Linux /
Logical2 - Linux swap
Windows loads just fine. As a matter of fact, the OpenSuse loader
would come on but since Linux did not work(once I selected Linux I got
a blank screen), I tried to use other boot loaders and I think I've
messed things up even more. Currently, I am running OSL2000 9.16(Cnet
download) and when it comes on I get a partition listing (much like
above). When I choose windows it works, but when I chose /boot, no
dice.
I need to fix this boot loader issue since my Linux install is very
well customized to my needs. Does anyone have any suggestions for
fixing this problem?
I've tried to follow the instructions at:
http://computerbits.wordpress.com/2006/11/27/how-to-restore-grub-on-a-multi-boot-computer/
http://www.faqs.org/docs/Linux-mini/Multiboot-with-GRUB.html#ss2.7
but I am sorry to say that whatever I've tried is not working. Your
help is appreciated. Thank you.
