Speaking of flash drives, I have a Sandisk U3 drive where you can
install programs on the flash drive and them run them on a computer. As
far as I know the programs will only be able to get run on a computer
with windows 2000 or XP. Are there any drivers out there that will allow
you to run the programs on a computer with linux?

Or you could boot linux off a flash drive, apps and OS. I rather like Slax.
(Heresy) there is even a nice windows installer that will walk you through
creating the bootable usb stick.
