I looked into this as I have a similar graphics chip on my HP Omnibook
6100. I didn't get anywhere. I found lots of usenet posts, and posts
on web forums which suggested configs like the one you give below -
but I didn't find anyone who said they'd actually got it to work...

I think the crucial thing to note is that Xinerama is designed to use
two graphics adapters - which is quite different from having one
adapter that can display on two screens.

I tried a commercial X Server (http://www.xig.com/ - they have a
downloadable demo), and that worked pretty well, but in the end I
decided the price was too much for a feature I didn't really need.
