keyboard control and dual head

I am setting up a dual monitor system that does not use xinerama. I
want to use the second monitor to keep things like xmms and stuff on. I
have everything working but I can't seem to get keyboard input on the
second screen, everything goes to the first. Mouse input appears to be
working fine.

How do I make the switch?
