Remote X11 questions.

I was wondering if anyone here would be able to answer a few questions and
give me some instructions/advice. Failing all that, perhaps they could just
point me to some kind of remote X11 fetish web site! Sure seems like it's
enough of a trick to warrant being called an obsession.

I've been able to get remote apps running on my windows machine using
commercial X11 apps, and SSH forwarding. I'll be trying cygwin's Xf86 soon,
and so far, performance and all other results have been astounding.

I'd like to "easily" automate it so that started X applications can remain
running after I disconnect from the SSH session, and so that I could just as
easily "reattatch" my (or any other) remote computer to them later on. If
anyone is an expert on the matter, I'd really appreciate being able to get
some patient advice. This is all new for me, and I've been going on online
manuals so far, with relativley good success. I'd just like to have a
little more help for these next few steps.
