    This might seem a little vague... Do what you did with Windows. Use the
    system for whatever purpose your purchase of a computer was originally
    intended. I myself am a home user of a Crux based system. I surf the web, do
    emails, play games, etc. etc. I found myself spending more time on the
    computer when I used Windows. Not out of enjoyment... For the simple fact I
    had to apply 50 patches a day to fill the holes purposfully and carelessly left
    by the Microsuck persons. Now the system does what it's supposed to.

    Linux is a great system to tinker with to further your understanding of the
    hardware and software concepts. Go to Sourceforge or Freashmeat, and see what
    interests you.
