KDE & MozillaFirebird & Printer choice

Using SuSe 9.0 Pro, KDE 3,
I have 2 printers set up [b&w, color], From KDE-aware apps, I am offered
'kprinter' as my printer which then will pop-up a dialog letting me choose
which printer.

However, MozillaFirebird does not seem to be KDE-aware, and therefor I only
see 'postscript/default' as an option. This is currently set to
::: lpr ${MOZ_PRINTER_NAME:+'-P'}${MOZ_PRINTER_NAME} :::

of which its going to the color printer :( [costly]
not sure why moz-prin-name is set to the color, as I did an
echo $MOZ_PRINTER_NAME
and nothing was echo'd. so I'm guessing it's a MozillaFirebird 'internal'
variable?

1) ideas on how to change it to b&w
2) ideas on how to make it KDE-aware? I'd like the option of having the
'option' to choose printers each time.
