I have problems with X and a ATI Radeon 9600 graphics card under Linux.
My X is: XFree86-4.3-24.4.92
My distribution is: Mandrake 9.2 (updated)

When installing Linux, the card is detected correctly but when trying to
run X it won't start.
"/var/log/XFree86.0.log" says (among other things)

(II) Primary Device is: PCI 01:00:0
(--) Assigning device section with no busID to primary device
(WW) RADEON: No matching Device section for instance (BusID PCI:1:0:1) found
(EE) No devices detected.

Fatal server error:
no screens found

My /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 says (among other things)

Section "Device"
     Identifier "device1"
     VendorName ""
     BoardName "ATI Radeon (fglrx)"
     Driver "radeon"
     Option "DPMS"
EndSection

I have tried adding entries for "BusID", "Screen" and "ChipID" (and
guessing some values) but it still will not work.

Does anyone have an advice?

/Emil Karlén
