The POST and BIOS screens are totally independent of any OS you may have
installed, so you'll have to look in the manual that came with your
graphics card and see if there's anything you can do to get the card to
use DVI before any real video drivers are loaded. I'd think there must
be something you can do since 640x480 16-color mode is supported by
everything, but if the video card manufacturer was being cheap, they may
have left that capability out. How often do you need to look at the
BIOS Setup screen anyway?
