adding a screensaver

Hi groups i wanna know how do we add a new screensaver as the
xscreensaver. I have executed the screensaver which i have written and
added the executable file to
"/usr/X11R6/lib/xscreensaver", but i am unable to see my screensaver
in the dialog window which i get when i run the xscreensaver-demo
command.what other files do we have to change to get my screensaver
run.
