Does anyone know of any way to configure Gnome2 and/or KDE so they
write all of their "dot" files/dirs (eg. .gnome, .gnome2, .gconf,
.kde, etc...) to some directory other than $HOME? We are trying to
share a common home directory across Linux and Solaris systems and
we are finding that these dot files are rather incompatible between
the two. If I could get, for example, Gnome2 on the Linux systems
to use something like $HOME/.Linux/.gnome instead of $HOME/.gnome
I'd be set.
Thanks!
