Hi
my problem is that the system crashes totally now and then. I suspect a
resource problem and following output is to be seen in /var/log/xdm.error:
------------------------------------------------------------------
X Error of failed request: BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)
Major opcode of failed request: 100 (X_ChangeKeyboardMapping)
Serial number of failed request: 8
Current serial number in output stream: 10
------------------------------------------------------------------
Is it possible that this error is the crash reason? Can you help me
decode the error message, what is the reason for the error and how can
it be fixed?
I run SuSE 9.0 on a P4 1.7GHz with 1GB RAM, this error has to do with an
X-Terminal connected to the server over xdm.
Thanks a lot
Alex
