I run redhat 9 and mozilla 1.7rc3. Gnome was my default window
manager. Suddenly ctrl+click does not open a new tab. I tried
upgrading my mozilla. I disabled and re-enabled ctrl+click. I wiped
out my prefs.js so mozilla would create a fresh one. All to no avail.
I can still right click and open in new tab. I noticed it does this
for any user in Gnome, but it still works in KDE.
I was recently playing with my "keyboard shortcuts" in redhat's
preferences and I fear this might have caused the problem. There is
nothing for "ctrl+click" and I have disabled everything that I had
changed, still I feel as though perhaps the O/S is filtering off that
ctrl+click before Mozilla has a chance to see it. I've run
gconf-editor and gone through all the keyboard shortcuts there. Can
anyone suggest
where I can look? Ctrl+click is my favorite feature of mozilla and
I'm dying without it! I could use KDE but I prefer Gnome and I'd like
to understand what's happening.
Hint: I noticed that CTLR+ALT+DEL no longer brings up
reboot/shutdown/logoff option but automatically logs me off (and
incidentally sometimes hoses X). This is true in both KDE and Gnome.
What's going on?
Thanks in advance.
