Hey,
I've just built X-org 6.7 from source and apart from a few glitches
(presumably my fault) I have it working fine.
One problem I wonder if anyone could help me with is under any X-windows
application (particularly under any *term) the keys appear incorrectly
mapped - for example @ and " are transposed, backslash and pipe (|)
produce < and > respectively and i cannot type a hash character.
Since these keys work fine from console Im presuming i messed up somewhere
in my configuration. I'm exporting TERM=linux in my profile and have
tried with TERM=xterm also to no avail.
If anyone could shed any light I would be most grateful.
Thanks, Dave
My xorg.conf includes:
------------------------
Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Keyboard"
Driver "Keyboard"
Option "CoreKeyboard"
Option "XbdRules" "Xorg" (have also tried "xorg")
Option "XbdModel" "pc101" (have also tried "pc105")
Option "XbdLayout" "gb" (have also tried "uk" "us")
EndSection
Some affected applications include aterm, xterm, pan, dillo (all built from
source, latest (stable) versions)
