I have just finished building my new Linux system (hardware) and when I
tried to configure X for the new video card
I found out that Xconfig did not recognize it. I went to the NVIDIA
site to download a X driver for it but when I got there
I found several drivers to choose from and I am not sure which driver I
need. I am not sure what the IA32, IA64 and
AMD64 mean.
Can someone please tell me which one of the drivers I should use?
The particulars are listed below.
The video card is a Chaintech FX/MX series which uses a NVIDIA GeForce
FX/MX Series GPU.
The choices I see at the NVIDIA download site are these:
Graphics Drivers
Linux IA32
Latest Version: 1.0-6111
Archive
Linux IA64
Latest Version: 1.0-5336
Archive
Linux AMD64
Latest Version: 1.0-6111
Archive
Free BSD
Latest Version: 1.0-6113
nForce Drivers
Linux IA32 Drivers
Latest Version: 1.0-0283
Linux AMD64 Drivers
Latest Version: 1.0-0283
Thanks,
