It's actually rather tough to diagnose this, offhand, as the potential
culprits are pretty widely distributed.
- Some window managers are a bit "choppy;"
- The problem could be insufficient RAM;
- The problem could lie in one or another of the applications.
Straight answers are a bit tough to find :-(.
