Hello! I seem to have problems when mounting with my CD-ROM after
every time I boot up Debian r3.1 (Kernel 2.6.10-1-K7; 2/18/2005):

Error - kio_devices_mounthelper dialog box comes after trying to mount
my CD-ROM from desktop: "mount: mount point /media/cdrom0 does not
exist ... Please check that the disk is entered correctly."

I open KDE's Terminal Program (Konsole) to look around:

$ pwd
/media

$ ls -all
total 3
drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 1024 2005-03-11 13:52 .
drwxr-xr-x 24 root root 1024 2005-03-09 22:37 ..
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 13 2005-03-11 13:52 cdrom -> /media/cdrom0
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 7 2004-09-24 16:46 floppy -> floppy0
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 1024 2004-09-24 16:46 floppy0

$ su
Password:
# mkdir cdrom0
# exit

[mounted the CD-ROM on KDE's desktop and no errors]

Shell/Terminal showed no problems as well:
$ ls -all cdrom0
dr-xr-xr-x 1 root root 2048 2005-03-11 15:34 .
drwxr-xr-x 4 root root 1024 2005-03-11 22:01 ..
-r-xr-xr-x 1 root root 7133184 2005-03-11 12:28 20050311-009-i32.exe
-r-xr-xr-x 1 root root 1242188 2005-03-11 13:12 cleaner.cdb
-r-xr-xr-x 1 root root 10422918 2005-03-11 15:34 Forgotten_Hope_0.67_to_0.67A_HOTFIX.exe
-r-xr-xr-x 1 root root 9427444 2005-03-11 12:23 NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-7167-pkg1.run
...

See, it works. Why do I have to keep recreating this directory for every
reboot? It's annoying. How can I prevent this or keep that directory to
stay there?

$ more /etc/fstab
# /etc/fstab: static file system information.
#
# <file system> <mount point> <type> <options> <dump> <pass>
proc /proc proc defaults 0 0
/dev/hda1 / ext3 defaults,errors=remount-ro 0 1
/dev/hda8 /home ext3 defaults 0 2
/dev/hda7 /tmp ext3 defaults 0 2
/dev/hda5 /usr ext3 defaults 0 2
/dev/hda6 /var ext3 defaults 0 2
/dev/hda9 none swap sw 0 0
/dev/hdb1 /stuff ext3 defaults 0 2
/dev/hdb5 /storage ext3 defaults 0 2
/dev/hdc /media/cdrom0 iso9660 ro,user,noauto 0 0
/dev/fd0 /media/floppy0 auto rw,user,noauto 0 0
/dev/sda1 /mnt/flash vfat noauto,users,umask=000 0 0

This should be OK, right?

Also right after unmounting the CD-ROM, I can't eject. I get "KDE Eject
- KDialog: Eject /dev/hdc failed!" Why do I have to wait about a minute
or more to do? Is this normal?

Thank you in advance. :)
