rpm conflict

 am trying to run firfox.1.0.4 and it complains about missing
libXp.so.6. So I found and am trying to install
xorg-x11-libs-common-6.8.2-77311cl.i386.rpm using rpm -ivh, but I get
the message

error: Failed dependencies:
        XFree86-devel <= 2:4.0.2-3cl conflicts with
xorg-x11-libs-common-6.8.2-77311cl
        XFree86 < 2:4.0.3-2cl conflicts with
xorg-x11-libs-common-6.8.2-77311cl
        XFree86-libs < 2:4.0.3-2cl conflicts with
xorg-x11-libs-common-6.8.2-77311cl

can anybody tell what's wrong? My redhat version is Red Hat Linux
release 9 (Shrike)
