Thanks for the tip witht the XFree86.0.log file. I wasn't aware of its
existance. I also think I got something wrong in my XFConfig file. Now
my hope is to do a standard SuSE 6.4 installation which comes with
XFree 3.3.6 and then have a look at the XFConfig file again...
