ttmkfdir for freetype2

I added Cyberbit.ttf to my font directory and ran fc-cache, and it became
available to KDE applications like KEdit.
Then I downloaded ttmkfdir and tried to run make, but it is apparently very
old and only works with version 1 of freetype.
I found a fonts.dir specification for Cyberbit on the web:
Cyberbit.ttf -Bitstream-Bitstream
Cyberbit-medium-r-normal--0-0-0-0-p-0-iso10646-1
and now it shows up in xlsfonts, so I'll probably get along OK without
ttmkfdir.
But still, I wondered if a replacement for ttmkfdir that works with
freetype2 has been developed.
Thanks,
Allie
