orbit-user and .kde3.4/socket-user --- no such device?

dear linux wizards: doing a grep -R, I stumbled upon a hole set of dead
links
grep: ./tmp/orbit-user/linc-5b14-0-117dc09de466d: No such device or
address
....
grep: ./.kde3.4/socket-machine/klauncherqtRVcc.slave-socket: No such
device or address
....
shouldn't the appropriate creators clean up these files? (if the
system crashes, should they not be cleaned on the next X restart?)
