No, you need the relevant headers from the kernel to sucessfully build
the NVidia kernel module. If the OP has the full set of SuSE media,
he should have access to all necessary components.
Yup, got the source installed off CD 5. But, the Nvidia driver install
(*.run) disclaims knowledge of the location of the source. So I supplied
that with "--kernel-source-location". Then it said it didn't know what
version source was in the directory I supplied. Arrgh. Idea: check the
link at /lib/modules/`uname -r`/build and see if it's correct.
I got a fresh copy of the 2.6.18.2 sources from kernel.org; I'll compile
(and boot from) a kernel that way and see if it acts any better.
