Less capable monitor connected to laptop...

Hi Group,
I wanted to report a bug (or a feature) but don't know where it's adequate.

If you have a less capable monitor (or a beamer) connected to the second
output of your notebook the Xorg server will reduce the main resolution to
the notebook as well.
This happens with a I810 driver e.g. together with Ubuntu (Xorg).

This is IMHO a bug, since a lot of people will react twaeking their config
files to death.

Where is the right place to report it?
