I'm trying to compile GNAT via Gentoo's ebuild system. However, I get
    this error:

    creating cache ./config.cache
    checking host system type... i686-pc-linux-gnu
    checking target system type... i686-pc-linux-gnu
    checking build system type... i686-pc-linux-gnu
    checking for gcc... gcc
checking whether the C compiler (gcc -O2 ) works... no
configure: error: installation or configuration problem: C compiler cannot create executables.

    !!! ERROR: dev-lang/gnat-3.15p-r2 failed.
    !!! Function econf, Line 324, Exitcode 1
    !!! econf failed

Any idea why this would fail this way? I've never had trouble with
    compiling anything else.

    Thanks,
    Jason
