Hi,
I want to play a full screen video (1024*768) in a continous loop.
So i want to use the pc as a video player with auto rewind and nothing else.
I have 500 mhz pentium 3 compaq computers with a extra riva tnt2 pci videoi
card installed
I can run the videos on windows XP, but i dont like to spent money on the
licences, specially, becuase i do'n need to do anything else with windows
(actually i need more seperate players so i want to save more licenses).
I am new in linux, and my question is:
Is it ok to instlall redhat 9? (i already have these cd's)
Wich linux video player should i use for the best playback quality (i need
automatic fullscreen and auto rewind)
On wich codec should i generate the video's. (divx, Mp2 MP4?)
Will it take a newbie long to get things running ? (in that case ill have to
stick to windows)
Thanks, ***
