HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've wasted days of my life trying to get this to work
I have a tape drive and a SCSI card. I've tried two scsi cards, both with
the same results.
dmesg gives me this
EATA0: SCSI channel 0 enabled, host target ID 7.
scsi1 : EATA/DMA 2.0x rev. 6.70.00
Vendor: COMPAQ Model: SDT-9000 Rev: 4.30
Type: Sequential-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 02
EATA0: scsi1, channel 0, id 0, lun 0, cmds/lun 2.
Attached scsi tape st0 at scsi1, channel 0, id 0, lun 0
scsi : 1 host left.
But any operation on /dev/st0 gives me this
#mt -f /dev/st0 eject
/dev/st0: No such device or address
Nothing sees it ... Anyone know WHY ???
Somebod said I need the scsi tape modules loaded, but lsmod says it is
loaded.
The dat drive is a compaq sdt-9000
Thanks,
Jon
