In Windows c: and d: are not two separate
hard drives. It is one big hard drive with two partitions. Using the
automatic partitioning could be disastrous. Thankfully I made my way to
appendix G.1.2 in the installation guide.
http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/linux/RHL-9-Manual/install-guide/ch-x86-
dualboot.html#S2-X86-DUALBOOT-EXISTING
Disk Druid made the partitioning easy. It took a little bit to figure
out the partitioning scheme and what was actually being asked especially
being new to linux.. I set it up the following way:
/dev/hda
/dev/hda1 windows
/dev/hda2 /boot 109mb
/dev/hda3 / 39GB
/dev/hda4 swap 709mb
Anyway, it all works flawlessly....except for the modem.
Yep, I have a lucent win modem.....sigh. Now what do I do.
Any suggestion are appreciated.
