How to setup Calcomp 1025 Plotter with linux ?

Hi,
I would be greatfull if you could kindly give me a pointer on how to set
up a Calcomp Artisan 1025 plotter with linux. This plotter understands
HPGL/2. Also do you know any opensourced or free linux application that
can convert DXF to HPGL files.
