If I type $ time ./foo on my box I might get output that looks
like this:
0.31user 0.02system 0:00.66elapsed 49%CPU (0avgtext+0avgdata 0maxresident)k
0inputs+0outputs (555major+705minor)pagefaults 0swaps
I understand that the 0:00.66 is probably .66 seconds using
only 49% of the total CPU power. However, all the other gibberish
around it is unintelligible to me. Can someone enlighten me about
what the numbers mean?
Thanks in advance,
Dan
