Hi all, I have some problems after compiling and installing a new
kernel. I have RH 9 and I moved from 2.4.20-8 to 2.4.22. When I boot
up I get errors related to USB devices (keyboard and mouse) and also
my network adapters. They all seem to module related, i.e. it can't
find the modules it needs (specifically keybdev, mousedev and
ip_tables.) I looked around for these modules and they only exist in
    "/lib/modules/2.4.20-8/kernel/net/ipv4/netfilter" but not in the
2.4.22 directory. When configuring the kernel before compilation I was
sure to include the filtering related to IP tables and also all USB
device related things I found. In fact if I don't modularize the
options, they shouldn't even make the modules, they should just be in
the kernel, right? The error messages suggest doing "depmod" and
"insmod" which I'm not totally sure how to run. I made sure to do
"make modules" and "make modules-install" during the compilation
process so that shouldn't be the problem. Any ideas? Thanks.
