Then why not simply use 2.4.22? The 2.6.0 kernel is still in it's testing
phase, so unless you have a really, really, really good reason to use it
for everyday work, you should stay away from it.

You don't want to use that module - use the module 'hid' instead.
'mousedev' is for the USB Boot protocol.
