I have an older no-name computer with a 133mhz Pentium with 128mb ram.
currently running Win98. This is essentially junk machine at this
point (though everything still works) and I'd like to start
experimenting with Linux as a replacement for Windows. I'd like to
see just how Microsoft-free I can get on my desktop.
A co-worker is very happy with Mandrake, and I see that it is
available bundled with Open Office at very reasonable prices on e-bay.
I do use Quicken, so would need to be able to run a windows-emulator
or have a dual boot capability for that.
Any recommendations? Any reason to believe that Mandrake 9.x won't
run on this old computer?
