Been trying out the Mozilla email/news client, and I'm a tad
under-impressed. It's not bad, but I do find it a little annoying at times
(fonts won't behave, it insists on opening new windows in positions that I
don't like).
Before I spend the next two years downloading, installing, and trialling
3,279 different GPL offerings, could folks suggest a good prog to use in
KDE?
FWIW, I normally use Outlook Express in Windows and I like its handling and
display. I don't use the preview pane, so a KDE prog which can be configured
for that kind of folders/messages layout would be on the right track. Also,
I'd rather it can be set up to not display messages as HTML, and not run any
sort of scripting. Must be able to post in plain text, and the ability to
handle attachments would be good. If it's available as an RPM, then all the
better.
I was thinking of KMail (based on little more than a screenshot), but it
seems that it's distributed as part of some larger package, which does I
know not what. I'd rather have lean, mean, and to the point. Primarily have
a need for email, but will consider combined email and news if the prog
feels right.
