I have a dual boot machine... WinXP and ManDrake 9.2. Before MD I was
using Redhat 9.0. With RH I had no problem connecting. Now I'm a neophyte
when it comes to Linux, but I've spent two days searching the web, and
trying various fixes. Nothing is working yet.
I have a Thomson DCM245 cable modem which is connected via USB. Most
articles are saying to go with a NIC, but I'm attached via NIC to a hub
which connects to an access point. Besides I would hope that USB would
work. When I check the hardware configuration I have a error message:
Module unknown for the cable modem and two of the 4 USB ports. I'm assuming
this is because of drivers? Could I download drivers from RH? Any
suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
