What do you mean, "Stop it"? Get rid of it so that you are
automatically logged in? Change how it looks? Stop using a graphic
desktop entirely? Use KDM instead?
Is a login screen supposed to be exciting? You can change the GDM
greeter to be very "pretty" if you so desire.
