In the thread "Components to install Linux", I asked and was told that
it's OK to have linux and XP in one PC.

I have Dell Dimension 8100 (2 1/2 years old Pentium IV, 256 MB, 233H
40 GB) and I like to keep all the things the way it is now.. for now.
I have an extra slot where I can put a DVD drive (or another hard
drive, I believe).

Would it work if I put Linux in the new hard drive? What sixe should
I get minimum if I were to put Redhat Linux9? I know I can read
documentation but since I am asking about getting a hard drive and
pout Linix there, I just thought I ask about the minimum size
requirement.

Ideal situation would be to have a Linux system and then network to XP
with Firewall installed in Linux but due to space to keep the PC, I am
thinking to get another hard drive and put Linux in this PC.

If I do that, i.e have XP in one drive and Linux in one drive, how
would I go about Firewall? Do I have to put Firewall in both if I were
to use eihter to access Internet. Once I become proficient with Linux,
I don't mind just using Linux for Internet but for now, it's nto
possible and I need to use Interent a lot to learn things.

Thanks for any clearification.
