Cannot mount installation cd in yast

Hi ng,
I'm using SuSE Linux 8.1.
I'd like to use yast to install rpm's from distribution cd's. When I have
choosen the rpm's to install, yast asks me for a distribution cd. If i
insert a cd yast does not recognize it.

If I try to set up a new installation source a error occurs: Unable to
create installation source from URL 'dvd:///'. Details:
ERROR(InstSrc:E_no_instsrc_on_media)

If I mount the cd (it is in a dvd rom) and install the packages manually
(with rpm -i) it works fine. Why does yast not recognize my installation
CD?
