Probs with Red Hat Professional Workstation

    Have a number of questions. In the past, I addressed Red Hat installation
    questions to the linux.redhat.install newsgroup, but in looking over posts here,
    I see some that are closely related. Please be gentle. What follows
    was posted in that other newsgroup.

    I just purchased Red Hat Professional Workstation, which I believe
    is formally called Red Hat Enterprise Linux WS. Whatever. I
    know I've arrived in paradise, but dammit, I can't find the Fig Newtons
    that I always bought down at the corner store back in Toonerville
    where everything worked. I'm tired and crabby after watching
    the installation for 2.5 hours and that was last night.

    Problem 1:
    =======
    I put it on a system with only 128 Mbytes of RAM and
    chose to install everything, which came to 4 Gbytes.
    During boot, in text mode, one line says,

        "125 Mbyte RAM found. 256 Mbytes reqd for Linux WS."

    or something like that.

    Performance is quite slow, nothing like 7.2.
    Will it improve if I increase the RAM to 256 Mbytes?

    (Not that it's relevant, but system has an 800-MHz Pentium III and
    a 30 Gbyte hard drive.

    Problem 2:
    =======
    How do I get access to command line mode outside Gnome? This
    new default desktop is nice, but there are times...

    Problem 3:
    =======
    How do I access the Apache localhost from the Mozilla Web browser?
    Actually, it's "an Apache-like server". I sort of sense a "gotcha" there.
    My intent is to run and test some PHP programs before uploading
    them to my Web site. I use PHP all the time with an Apache server
    on a Redhat 7.2 Linux box and from Windows boxes and also
    from IIS server on Windows XP.
