i want to edit a line of text, such as a filename, so that all the words
have the first character capitalised and the rest is in lowercase. also i
want to only use bash. the cases of the words can be in any order - all
uppercase, all lowercase, alternate etc. the words in the filename are
separated with underscores, "_". i cannot find a way so far to edit parts
of words like the first character and am wondering what possibilities does
linux offer - i'm sure there are more than 20. i have explored hundreds of
ways to edit text - all seem to just do words, files, lines, paragraphs
etc , but nothing that can really pick out individual characters. 'sed'
can match patterns in words, but i have not found out ways to pick out
letters.
