I'm a big fan of Mandrake. You can choose exactly what packages you want on
install, it supports RPMs just like RedHat and has an update application.
Don't know what more to say about it, I've never tried another distro, but
then again I've never felt the need.
As you can download practically any distro you might as well give a few a
try
