Did the following:-

$ wget --user-agent="Mozilla/4.61 [ja] (X11; I; Linux 2.4.25 i686)" \
--http-user=patb --http-passwd=**** \
https://*****.dyndns.org/test/testfile.txt

No change. The file *was* downloaded and an error message in the
ssl.log :-

[Thu Mar 04 16:07:14 2004] [error] [client **.**.**.**] Digest: client
used wrong authentication scheme `Basic': /test/testfile.txt

(I've used **** to mask passwds etc!)

The --user-agent flag seems to have had no effect.

I'm really at a loss now :-(
